HORSE RIDING 

Whether you want ponies for the kids, or have more serious equine goals, Gypsy Lane Farm may be just what you're looking for.  Some of the best trail riding opportunities in Victoria are accessible from the front gate: head out to the Black Range via Gypsy Lane & Progress Road, or ride to Marysville through the bush via Triangle Road.  Or take the Bicentennial National Trail and set out virtually anywhere in Australia!  With a choice of potential menage sites and a huge shed perfect for stables, this property  could easily be developed to meet the specifications of any committed equestrian.  

MOUNTAIN BIKING & HIKING

Buxton has an excellent Mountain Bike course at nearby Dyes Lane plus loads of informal routes.   Locals and visitors enjoy the district's impressive hiking destinations including Mt Cathedral and Steavenson's Falls.  Marysville State forest is opposite the front gate.  

TRAIL BIKE RIDING

Marysville State forest and the Black Range offer popular tracks and roads for licensed riders of trail bikes and 4WD enthusiasts.   

FISHING

Keen anglers can walk from Gypsy Lane, down Progress Road to the Acheron River, or just a few minutes drive to the Steavenson & Little Steavenson Rivers. For a sure thing, visit the local Buxton Trout & Salmon farm!  If you'd rather take the boat out, Lake Eildon is just a 30 minute drive.

Since 2003 we've managed Gypsy Lane Farm along organic principles.  Cattle, sheep, pigs, ponies and even an alpaca all thrived here.  We've grown all sorts of produce, from raspberries to pumpkins.  As for the future, the possibilities are endless!  And the choices yours!!

ALPINE SPORTS IN WINTER

Lake Mountain Alpine Resort is a scenic 30 minutes drive and offers cross-country skiing, tobogganing and snowplay in winter, and year-round activities too.  

SERVICES

Its 10 minutes drive to the nearest medical clinic, and Alexandra Hospital is 20 minutes drive away.  A V-line bus service to Melbourne is available from Buxton.  

Buses pick up children at the intersection of Gypsy Lane and Maroondah Highway travelling to our local state school, Buxton Primary School, and to St Mary's Catholic Primary school and Alexandra Secondary College in Alexandra.  A bus to Billanook College in Mooroolbark is available from the Buxton township.
